Our Story
About the Diocese of Mysore
The Diocese of Mysore was erected on 13 February 1886 by Pope Leo XIII, carved out from the Diocese of Mysore-Coorg. It is a suffragan see of the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Bangalore.
Encompassing the districts of Mysuru, Mandya and Chamarajanagar in Karnataka, the diocese serves Catholic faithful through parishes, schools, healthcare ministries and social service institutions.
Rooted in the Gospel and faithful to the teachings of the Catholic Church, the Diocese is committed to evangelisation, education, healthcare and the integral development of all people, especially the marginalised.
